“Running on fumes, with 45 points…
At the end of the game, you’ve got to get it out of his hands, he’s a killer!
That may have been…who knows what will unfold in the next several months,
But that may have been the last shot that Michael Jordan will ever take in the NBA.
If that’s the last image of Michael Jordan, how magnificent is it?”

If you are an All-Star athlete, how important is it to capture moments like these?

Are you willing to let them slip by, or would you rather have a way to memorialize these milestones forever?

My name is Alan Mohring.  I have been a photographer for nearly 40 years and have focused  on sports since my children started competing six years ago.  I have worked for Visual Image Photography capturing game action for 6 local high schools, including Hononegah, Belvidere, Belvidere North, Guilford, Rockford East and Marengo.  I have captured WIAA and IHSA State Finals and have been hired to capture game action of individual athletes in all sports.

My goal is to bring you out of the stands and into the game with the images I photograph.  I want to get you as close to the action as possible and allow you to feel what it’s like to be on the battlefield or in the arena where all of the action takes place.

One of things I most enjoy about the work that I do is being able to observe the incredible interactions between the players during a game.  The way that they support, encourage and cheer for their teammates while simultaneously seeing the impact it can have as the plays unfold allow me to share these stories with their parents, friends and family.

I have also observed that when allowed to share these images online through social media, it tends to bring the community as a whole closer together and proud of the discipline and dedication to the sports that these young athletes love.

It’s the greatest job I’ve ever had.  Thanks for allowing me the honor of capturing your All-Star in action!
